First written in Ohio during a thunderstorm and later added to last year while creating this EP. This song became real to me one Summer on a drive through an actual Thunder storm. I felt nervous, by myself and with an unreliable car (and unreliable windscreen wipers that were going full pelt). The road was like a river, and I could hear thunder and see flashes. I hadn't seen this on the forecast but it was sudden and I really felt it was a fight to get to my destination. To me it felt spiritual and I started belting out the lyrics to this newly formed (at the time) song wishing I could have played it on a CD in my car! It became a declaration that I had peace despite my surroundings and situation, and at the end of my journey I arrived to blue sky and no sign of rain or cloud.

The song is a journey stylistically too! You might not expect a song about Peace to be so heavy, but isn't that the reality of the storms we face sometimes? and shouldn't we choose to have peace right in the middle of it all? We can't always wait until the end to find the peace, just like when Jesus was laying asleep on the boat when a storm hit and his disciples freaked out. Jesus wasn't worried! He had peace, and could command the wind and waves at anytime to stop. Choose peace today not fear!
