This song came to me in David's Tent DC, during a bit of a mental/spiritual block when I was leading worship. I had this sudden revelation that according to days of old I shouldn't be allowed where I was, in God's presence, in David's Tent (read the Old Testament!) And it was only because of what God did through Jesus that allowed us to enter God's presence.

We often forget this privilege, which is why the chorus refers to the veil torn in the temple but now over our heart. The curtain was torn to indicate we had full access to God but our shame sometimes reverts us to believe there's still a veil between us and Him, this time in our hearts as it physically doesn't exist anymore. The chorus says "You tore down the veil in my heart" - He tears that veil down every single day if He has to.

Not only did He make a way, but He still makes a way today.
